Week 7 Thing 17
I tried to access the Maryland Libraries Sandbox and create a login account for myself but I couldn't sign in. Otherwise I might be able to add my blog to the Favorite Blog page; add a favorite or two to a few other pages, such as a favorite book, favorite wikis. I also tried to view PBWiki Tour. PBWiki, Video Gallery, for some reason those pages were not found. Luckly I was able to view PBWiki Tips-A wiki site map.

Week 6 Thing 14
Technorari is an Internet search engine for searching blogs. It was indexing millions blogs and tagged social media.
Technorati looks at tags that authors have placed on their websites. These tags help categorize search results, with recent results coming first. Technorati rates each blog's "authority", the number of unique blogs linking to the blog over the previous six months.
We can search for keywords in blog posts, search for entire blog posts that have been tagged with certain keyword, or search for blogs that have been registered and tagged as whole blogs about a certain subject. It is amazing.

Week 6 Thing 13
Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to share, organize, search and manage bookmarks of web resources. Delicious is a social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing, and discovering web bookmarks. We can get to our bookmarks from anywhere. We can share our bookmarks publicly. So our friends, coworkers, and other people can view them for reference, amusement, collaboration, or anything else. We can find other people on Delicious who have interesting bookmarks and add their links to our own collections, or anything else. Everyone on Delicious chooses to save their bookmarks for a rreason. We have access to the links that everyone wants to remember. We can see whether two people have chosen to remember a link, or whether it was useful enough for a thousand people to remember--which may help us find things that are useful for us, too.
Week 5 Thing 12
I have explored Rollyo and created an account for myself. I also have created a Searchroll. It is very simple, all I have to do is find and enter the urls of a site or sites of that forcus on the topic. Of course, I can edit and modify my Searchroll at any time. Rolly allows us to create our own search tool for the just the websites we know and trust. Even better, we can share our Searchrolls with friends and colleagues. A tool like this has a strong future in both the workplace and in schools.
Week 5 Thing 11
I have created an online catalog of my own. I had add seveal favorate books to my library by just entering the title. When I click "Your Books" I can even view my books on a virtual shelf. It is very interesting. It is also very useful for my job in the future. It will help to do the reader's advisory.
Week 4 Thing 9
On web pages, web feeds are typically linked with the word"Subscribe" or with the web feed logo, icons.
The easiest method to find the feeds is when there is a feed logo to click on. I found Topix.net is very easy to locate recent newsfeed items by keyword or phrase searching. I like Technorati as well. RSS and Newsreaders are very useful for reader's advisory.

Week 4 Thing 8
I have created a Bloglines account and subscribe several newsfeeds. Bloglines is a web-based news aggregator for reading syndicated feeds using the RSS and Atom formats.
"Feed-icon" or the "RSS-icon" indicate a web feed was present on a particular web page that could be used in conjunction with the live bookmarks function.
Web syndication is a form of syndication in which wesite material is made avalable to mutiple other sites.
I could visit all those information sources and web pages in just one place and all at the same time, it saves me a lot of time visiting each site imdividually.
